I was asked to make another "tiled-sided" ukulele. This one is 100% salvaged/recyled woods. All the exotic woods were cut off pieces by a local saltwater spear gun maker and destined for the dump or fireplace. The maple is my own scrap from other projects. One of the best sounding, best playing ukuleles I've made.

A ukulele-playing friend put the idea into my head to build a uke. I happened to have some plans for a Martin Style-1 and thought I'd adapt them to my style of luthery. This "tiled" koa ukulele is the result--and the first of several.
